Advance your career while you keep your job!

If you are already employed in the food service industry under the sponsorship of a Red Seal Chef (or someone in your workplace with PC Supervision and sign-off authority), the training you need to complete your apprenticeship in Professional Cook 1 and Professional Cook 2 is available to you at Cascade Culinary Arts School, thanks to our provincial apprenticeship training contract with the Industry Training Authority of BC (ITA). Each program consists of twenty-three sessions over twenty weeks. You can develop your skill base and advance your career training while you continue to work. One additional session allows you to write the qualifying trade exam on site. (based on class size)

Developing your expertise is convenient and affordable!

The next Professional Cook 1 apprenticeship training starts February 15, 2012. (The first class will be on Wednesday, the others will be on Tuesdays.)
The next professional Cook 2 apprenticeship training starts August 28, 2012.

You can download and print the entire information and application package:

Professional Cook 2 Application

Classes are mainly on Tuesdays from 1:00 - 9:30 p.m. (Days and times may vary.)
The course consists of 23 sessions plus one additional session to write the ITA exam.

Spaces are limited. Phone the office to set up an interview with the executive chef. Once you have been approved for the program, a $100.00 deposit is required to reserve your place.

Because of assistance from the Province of British Columbia, the total cost to the student is only $400.00.
